whoa whoa whoa...let me explain to you what happened:

our large public school has a policy where we, the students, have to "request" that our midyear forms be sent to the colleges by bringing stamped/addressed envelopes to the registrar, and pay her a $15 "processing fee." Then, she sends the transcripts.

I, being the organized, self-conscious, responsible, student that I am, went to see the registrar as soon as I found out that there had been a MISTAKE made on my 2nd-quarter grades, which would end up going on my transcript. I immediately began working with her to remedy this, but it involved a lot of paperwork and she didn't exactly make the process easy. This was taken care of by February 15th - the deadline that many colleges have for receiving the midyears.

So I was already in hot water, and asked the registrar to speed up things, but she said "Oh, well, now that we've changed your transcript, I have to order a new one and it takes about 10 days to get that printed and sent to me." I was like, "WHATTT??" (of course I actually said something else very nicely; I have been sucking up to her throughout this whole thing trying to get her to cooperate with me here)
She told me to come back to her office in a week and then "hopefully" my transcript would be ready and then I could give her the envelopes to send.

Finally, this past Tuesday, I checked in with her, handed over the envelopes and my $, and she said the transcript was ready and she would send it out everywhere. I even tried paying her extra to send them priority/express - she said no.

Sometime during all this, Swarthmore college contacted both her and my counselor and they told Swarthmore that it was my responsibility! They gave the impression that I actually had the transcript and could just simply fax it whenever I felt like it.

Sorry if I'm being overly defensive here; I know you weren't being judgmental or anything..I just needed to vent!
