they said they'd email you mid-feb if anything was missing...my midyear is "missing" as it stands, but I'm holding out hope that they don't ask for it :)

so, yeah, they seem quite lax compared to columbia and other ivys

dontcha....you do need to send your midyear grades. I wouldn't wait for them to ask for them. They will at some point or your application will remain incomplete. I actually wouldn't wait for them to ask--I'd send them.

D's school did not have transcripts available until this Monday. Finals were only 2 weeks ago. I'm sure they take mid-year into consideration for the school or district, otherwise there is nothing to report.

my mid-terms were finished one week ago and it's not mid-feb yet.........i hope! i don't even have my grades yet.

Don't worry, they understand that not all high schools have exams at the same time. They usually consider your app complete once they receive all of the initial materials, and then mid-year report is separate. Just make sure you send it, and you'll be good.

FYI, I'm sending mine out friday, when transcripts are ready.

i stand by my original theory...why not let them ask for it (i applied ILR = rolling decisions)?

Why not wait until they ask? Because they are required as part of your application and they are going to ask anyway. What's the point of waiting? Not sure what your strategy is here.
