Does Amherst require a letter of recommendation from my guidance counselor?

<p>I looked at their website and I think it says no, but I want to double check. I already know about the teacher recommendations, but do I need an additional one from my guidance counselor?

<p>Your guidance counselor fills out the Secondary School Report (SSR) on your behalf. The SSR can be found under the school forms on the Common Applications and asks your GC to rate the rigor of your course load as compared to all other college bound students at your high school and to evaluate your academic achievement, extracurricular accomplishments, personal qualities and character.
