Does anxiety over admissions cause sadness

Hey guys, I'm finding out my Ed decision on Wednesday. I try to not be nervous and publicize it to my friends. But I am secretly really anxious. Im starting ti fee really really sad. Like I dunno man. Did/does anyone have experience with that? Like complete sadness over Dmissions.

Try and keep yourself busy until Wednesday, get your mind off of it.

We all go through this process with various emotions. You’re not the only one. Talk with some friends about it, for me that usually helps.

Don’t worry. It will all be alright.

Why are you sad? Sad that you may get rejected? If it’s a very competitive school, don’t sweat it at all if you don’t get in.

Maybe “sadness” is not the right word. My mind is going through so much right now. Its crazy. Ive been having major mood swings and idea swings (for example, I temporarily believed in the benefits of fascism, then switched to believe in communism) This wait is crazy unbearable.

samurai, your feelings are normal. Do what you can to keep yourself distracted until you hear. You could even actively work on your plan B applications in case you dont get in and then you will have something to easily turn your attentions to. If you continue to feel as you are after you get your decision, if it doesnt happen to be a positive one, you should talk with someone such as a school guidance counselor or a therapist, just to make sure you dont get stuck. But yes, the anxiety you are feeling now is normal. Hang in there!
