same ? as my previous thread.

I know it's by Santa Monica.

What do you want to know? I went to camp there so I could tell you about the dorms, classrooms, etc. and at least the food over the summer.

i have a friend who goes there. and several UCLA people that i know (including both my roommates) have friends down at LMU and they sometimes go down there to visit or to party.

Some threads from the old, beloved CC! :)

Thanks, Teal.

LMU is actually in Westchester, north of LAX and about 20 minutes from Santa Monica as I drive.

It's not the most competitive place in the world but seems fairly decent--I know the parents of some kids who go there and I know people who have taught there--and I'd choose it over some more "name" schools like Pepperdine.

Teal, were you on the Old Board and was your screen name "Teal"?

thanks everybody esp teal!!!!

P.S. BTW I live in Southern LA too TheDAD!!

Also, does anybody know how strong the Pre-med or pre-law programs are and what grad schools graduates from LMU get accepted to?

TheDad, yes I was, though not as long a member as you were :)

Trojansvsroman, check your pm inbox

does anyone know whether or not LMU offers full-tuitions to students who are NOT considered as academic scholars (1350 SAT, 3.7 GPA)??????? I rank top 4% of my class but my SAT scores are bad.

It seemed pretty small for me. The dorms are okay. It's situated in a residental neighborhood. You can walk to a few fast food places, but there isn't really anywhere else to go without a car. There are great athletic facilities. If you're Catholic, there is a really beautiful church right by the dorms. I spent the summer there at a CTY program.

Close relative went there. Starred in medical school and residency. Now Assist. Prof in another medical school. Gives LMU a lot of credit in his success. Loved the Biology dept.
