I have to say, it's discouraging being on this board today! Who else believes in the value of keeping the word you give when you signed the statement not to discuss the SAT.

Everyone who came on here and mentioned an SAT question cheated on the SAT, period.

carpe, dont be a goody two shoe poop, just kiddin, but collegeboard only does that as a formality, there is no one who has to take the test now, the only allotted time to take the march 10th sat is in the morning and no other date will have that exact same test, so therefore, there would be no reason why not to talk about it,

ps. im sure that after the test u talked to a friend about a question or somethin, would that be cheating also??

I think if CB really wanted to, they could've shut off this forum a long time ago seeing as people here discuss SAT every single time. Besides, most people who discuss the answer here are the ones who really care about their scores and generally score good. I doubt CB would just cancel the scores of so many high scorers.
Besides everyone already took it.

It's cheating because it falls under their rules of cheating. It's lying because it's a direct lie. No one can go back and change the answers, but it comes down to signing your name and going back on it. A lack of honour.

And I'm very glad to be a goody two shoes if the norm is now considered to proudly go back on one's word. :) To answer your question: I certainly did. I shall relate the conversation to you in entirety: "What did you have to write about." "I'm sorry, I can't say." Wow. What a novel concept. Keeping one's word. Wow..... And yes, I had friends in that testing room with me. And no, we certainly did not and will not discuss what was written until we get our online essay score and can discuss the essay. Why? Because our sense of dignity and truthfulness is important to us.

I just find it disgusting that people go back on their words so easily, after signing it. Especially because CB can and does cancel scores becasue of it. But then, it's only wrong if you get caught, right?
