I’ve been out of school for three years now and still keep in contact with my French teachervia email. I recently saw her at a festival near my campus (I go to a local state school) and found out that she may be going back to school to get her PhD in French now that she’s retired from teaching public school and may be starting at the same college I go to in the spring if she decides to go! What about you guys?
I still keep in contact with my former Spanish teacher who was essentially my mentor throughout high school. We usually get breakfast or dinner 1-3 times a year to catch up.
Keep in touch with my HS Economics teacher; he’s a great guy.
I just found my high school history teacher on a social networking site for teachers. I’m planning to contact him to let him know how I’m doing and see how he is. I graduated from high school 11 years ago, so several of my teachers are gone or retired.
I keep in contact with my high school astronomy teachers. He was one of only a couple great teachers at my school. I let him know how I’m doing in college and he wrote my recommendation letter for my job on campus. We’re on a first-name basis now, and he invited me back to help chaperone/teach on a field trip.
I still occasionally visit the teacher who runs the gifted program at my HS, and I’m Facebook-friends with my 10th grade English teacher.
