How close are you with a certain teacher, or do you have a certain teacher that you can count on all the time?

How many of you actually have the cellphone numbers of your favorite teacher(s)?

I met my English teacher 9th grade and she was awesome. I talked to her every single day and she just talked to me about everything I could. Besides her, I'm not really close to any of my teachers. I think I can open up to an English teacher because for the most part they seem to be more liberal and open people.

I have SUCH a girl crush on my French teacher (I've had her for two years and will have her again this year), but I'm not yet comfortable enough to talk to her about anything I want. I'm gonna ask her for recs (because French is sooo relevant to neuroscience...) and I have to think of a good thank-you gift 'cause I love her. XD <3

I don't buy sometimes what a teacher has to say. I feel like they talk to me out of school, and we develop a personal bond, it's more easy to trust and confide in them. I've had two of these relationships with my health and English teacher, both who have helped me with so much.

I have (well, had, I guess) a couple of teachers who were pretty amazing people. My science teacher/Quiz Bowl coach, in particular, I was really close to. He's pretty young (early 30's) and a cool guy, and I had to work pretty closely with him this past year, what with captain-ing his squad. We'd talk pretty much every school day, and it wasn't just school/Quiz Bowl stuff- we'd talk about music, movies, world issues, significant others, our families, anything that came to mind. I even met his girlfriend once.

I don't have his cell phone number, though. Maybe I'll ask for it now that I'm not his student anymore and we won't be seeing each other nearly as often, but while I was still in school, that probably would've been crossing the line. (No offense to anyone that does have their teachers' numbers!)

I have a teacher that I email over the summer and talk to a lot at school. He knows a lot of what goes on at my house and I don't really have any to talk about it with so he helps gives me advice and whatnot. I don't have his cell number...honestly that would be weird. It's like one of my friends meets him for the time and says "He's really cute", and I was disturbed for about a week because of that. Just one of those kind of teachers I guess.

In middle school I had a teacher that knew just about everything about me. I moved so now I have her home number and email and we keep in contact. She became for of a friend than a teacher.

Haha. I have the numbers of half the foreign language department, we're actually really close. As in, outside of school I can just pop over and crash if need be. Sometimes we go to rock concerts, or eat, whatever. Their kids know me and I'm like an extension of their family.

And no, I don't have an academically unfair advantage. I didn't take the language they taught so I never got grades I didn't deserve. ;)

i will kiss up to my teachers as much as i can next year
and i mean hardcore butt kissing
gotta get those good recommendations for colleges!! duh!!

someone's lesbian... ;)

jk. never had any chance to get "close" with any teacher this year, um, I probably made some teachers pretty mad this year, and yeah...starting this year I will try not to exasperate 1/2 of my teachers like i do every year.

I'm really close to a math teacher. I have his home phone number and address. I've been to his house a couple of times, and I've met and talked to his wife and daughter. He's just a really cool guy to talk to. Don't get me wrong, this is only a friendly relationship lol. The guy's like 50 or 60. That'd be gross if it was otherwise.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever actually called my debate coach, but I have his number in my phone because he sometimes calls to let me know when practice times have changed or something like that. I really should check my email more often...

I go to a small school and I'm closer to the teachers than the kids. I have my counselor/religion teacher's number (told I can call day or night), both of my previous German teacher's private emails, my sophomore Chem teacher's number, Drama director's number (spent a night at her house), and I'm facebook friends with my sophomore English teacher.

Being so close makes me privy to a lot of advanced notice and inside information about school politics. But I never get good grades I don't deserve.

If anything I've noticed that in classes I have a more personal relationship with (Wow, that could be misinterperated fairly well.) the teacher my grades tend to be lower because the teacher will push me harder because they know me better. Except maybe one of my classes where the teacher took pity on me a bit, but he takes pitty on all of his students, so nothing new there.

I don't have her phone number or private email address or anything, but I'm really close to my sophomore English teacher. She was the adviser of a club I'm secretary of, though she resigned from the adviser position (though not from teaching) at the beginning of last year, after my first meeting as secretary. I feel like I can talk to her about pretty much anything, and do. Strangely enough, this ended up including my love life, as the guy I was dating sophomore year was in the same English class as me, and it was kinda...obvious. We broke up just before junior year, which was also obvious, so I had a few conversations with her about it. Yeah. It was a little weird, but it also felt sorta normal.
