Does anyone else STILL not have their financial aid letter?

My financial aid letter didn't come with my acceptance package, and I was told on here it would be coming soon. I waited for a week or so, and nothing had come. Then I went on vacation for Spring Break, and came back today, sure that it would be in the pile of mail. But nothing still! Anyone else having trouble with this? It's frustrating, because I really want to attend NYU, but I know that financial aid may be a problem, so I'd like time to sort it all out.

yeah, i have the same concern. i have not received my financial aid package. it might’ve been because i was accepted LSP, and i think their program might have a financial award that comes later? i don’t know, but i’m just waiting.

i haven’t received mine either. i think i will email or call on monday. i know somebody else from my school admitted who received their letter almost immediately after they received their acceptance package…i’m starting to think that i forgot to check the “apply for financial aid” box in my application.

Well I’m not LSP and I definitely said I was applying for financial aid, so I don’t know…I will be contacting them soon as well. For some reason the financial aid office doesn’t have a way to contact via email.

Hey. I’ve been having the same problem. I went to NYU yesterday for the accepted students thing and while I was there I went to the financial aid office to figure out what was going on. They finally made up a package for me and said it was sent out thursday,so maybe they sent everyone else’s then too. They told me about my package while I was there, and its terrible :(. My EFC was 6,000 and they only gave me 15,000 for the entire year. So basically they expect my parents to pay 35,000 on their own which is impossible. My parents went bankrupt last year and my sisters in college! So basically im going to Boston University now since they offered me 47,000 :/

Oxjess1233, I’m in the same boat. I finally got my financial aid and they only gave me $15,000 in scholarships too. My family is pretty poor (65k for our whole family, dad laid off and recently hospitalized) but they still expect us to pay $33,000. I am so disappointed that I can’t go.
