Does anyone have information about getting with a February application?

I’m an OOS (California) application and I only found out about UNC in February and applied on 2/6.

Major: Poli Sci
ACT: 31
GPA: 3.4/4.04 (9 AP classes completed, good upward trend)
Good ECs
Don’t need that much financial aid

Do I have a shot? Do people normally get into CLA this late?

UNC? This is University of Minnesota or UMN I think you are on the wrong site.

I meamt UMN, my bad

The Regular Deadline was 12/15/2016 so you are a couple months late for the bus. Currently, there are kids with stats similar to yours who have been waitlisted from Priority Decision, and admissions is still going through the applications of the Regular Decision pool (decisions due by end of March). Once they get through that, they will start looking at waitlists and admitting as space permits. I’m guessing they will get to your application around this time (so probably by mid-April? Not sure). In any case there may be room but don’t count on it - make sure you have applied in a timely fashion to other schools. Also, don’t count on funds being available for financial aid other than federal loans.

CLA (where the PolySci major resides) takes in quite a few transfers after first year so you may be able to transfer in down the road. The website has very detailed information about the timeline to apply and so forth.

Good luck!
