Does anyone have the US news and world report undergrad business rankings

I can only see up the top 10 when I search for it. Thank you.

I don’t support USNWR, so don’t pay for a subscription. Many think poets and quants has more accurate/appropriate undergrad business school rankings. Thank you but that one failed to include some schools - such as OSU Fisher and some others - that didnt answer their survey.

Overall rank is far less important (in my opinion) than major rank.

For example, if you do supply chain, you want to go to ASU, Michigan State, or UTK.

If you do IS, Arizona and Indiana are good choices.

Moreso than the overall school.

There’s lots of rankings out there. Your son - if I remember correctly - was looking at Florida but didn’t like the online classes that are required there - and you were seeking others in the South.

90% of kids going into regular corporate jobs - where you go isn’t going to have a huge impact - especially with the proliferation of online job applications vs. companies still recruiting in person (many are cutting back).

Find the right school for your son…not the highest ranked.

But yes, you need to subcribe to US News Compass - but you can find many a ranking from many sources on line.

Many times the school will have their rankings. Here is the press release for tOSU

Thank you and you are right about florida. He ended up getting alot of money from OSU, which is a school we hadn’t been giving much thought to before. Might have to give up on the idea of going to school in shorts. He is undecided about which field within business.

Thank you

Forbes has a ranking based more on outcomes Forbes America’s Top Colleges List 2022

He can wear shorts - the first and last few weeks of class

Poets and quants has good information but if a school doesn’t respond with data they don’t make the list. Think Berkeley Haas. Look at each school’s website. They’ll advertise their rankings.

Once you get outside the T10 business schools like a Wharton, fit would be top priority. Direct admission would be at the top of the list.

Outcomes between #20 and #50 probably depends more on grades and internships than rankings.

I am sure that many are wearing shorts right now at tOSU. Maybe a little chilly right now, but 70 by Thursday.

I’d say this to that. U chose where u chose. If you apply to a school, it has to be in your consideration set. If you know up front you want warm, there’s a host of schools you should have applied to that are not Ohio State. You’re trying to balance rank vs fit vs whatever. Frankly you can still apply to Bama, get a boatload, and likely have the same outcome as UF or OSU. Same for Arizona. Both have huge geographic diversity due to their merit and for 90% of kids outcomes will be similar to UF and OSU because few find the upper echelon jobs and all these schools are heavily recruited. In my opinion, you should bet on your kid and not the school.

I know kids at UF and PSU. No internships or jobs after . Is that the school’s fault? No clue. My guess is the kids are not go getters.

Bama has the top rated internship rating of all SEC schools which include Vandy, UGA, and UF. My son interned side by side this summer with Ga Tech kids. He’s headed back this year. They weren’t invited back.

Did the school get him his job? Nope my son applied online and got hired.

You are putting way too much onus on rankings in my opinion. Do u even know what’s in the ranking formula? Most is not outcome related.

Find your son the school he wants, not the one US News, Poets and Quants or others want.

It’s too late for most but not the two I mentioned. They will be cheap. Solid. And shorts worthy if that’s the goal.

Good luck.

If you put in a specific Major USNW will say what the rank is for the major and then underneath give the overall undergraduate b school rank.
