Anyone knows about Fordhan Uni in NYC?
say, rankings,atmosphere...,etc...
THX a looooooot!!!

Okay, I go to Fordham Prep (their highschool) and I can give you a first hand perspective on atmoshphere. The campus is pretty nice, but once you walk off of it onto Fordham RD its fairly ghetto. The opposite side of the campus where the main entrance is..is really nice and across from it is Botanical Gardens. I haven't been in any of the dorms. The campus isn't THAT big, but a fairly good size...a nice football stadium that was recently demolished and remade, a softball field, and another football/soccer field that we sometimes use. The buildings have that romanesque look to it inside and out which is pretty cool. Fordham is ranked fairly high and it also depends on what you want to major in. If you don't live too far, I'd pay a visit...if not I'd apply and if you get in then visit to see if you want to go there or not.

Also, there is another campus in the city (Lincoln Center Campus), which I don't know much about. GL

Its fairly high ranked, one of the dorms I went into was crappy, one was pretty nice, it was fair of them to show the "best" and "worse" dorm on the tour. Atmosphere was quite "campusy" outside is sort of a bad neighborhood but New York bad isnt that bad (safest big city in America) and its close to Arthur Avenue which has some of the best food and italian culture in the country.

Did you see this thread? It is in the Parents Forum. It has good info regarding financial aid:

I've visited friends there and toured the campus and I thought it looked like a great school. It was Catholic, which can be great for those who seek it, but was not overbearingly religious. For the student who wants a truly urban school, it is a great option. It's cheaper then NYU, has some great programs, loyal alumni and a sense of community.
