Contact local companies/institutions.

It would really help if you specified your field of interest.

I have no idea what about local companies around me.I don’t get out much…i’m mostly always at home.I will do anything but STEM related opportunities would be great! thanks

CutePrincess, you are not going to find an internship looking around out here. You need to figure out what opportunities are in your area and follow up with them. You mentioned STEM; If you have a specific area of research interest, you could email profs in those subject areas at colleges (where you could readily get to every day) and volunteer to work for free in their lab this summer. “I don’t get out much” is no excuse – WE don’t get out much in your neighborhood, either. Or can you volunteer at a local hospital?
