Does anyone know what happens when ..I applied EA to nursing program..got accepted into ACES undecided (didn't apply for this) instead. My question is say 10 people who got accepted into the nursing program decide not to attend UCONN.. who gets first dibs on those 10 spots..I heard unless you initially get accepted into nursing it is virtually impossible to get in later semesters or years..

Don’t quote me because I’m not extremely familiar with UCONNs admission’s procedures, but schools tend to over accept to ensure the spaces are filled, kind of like our airlines and salons work. So they may have 2,000 applications, accept 1,000 students for 500 spots in the nursing program. Not all accepted students will actually attend and they factor that into the acceptance ratio. Plus there may be another 250 students waitlisted, and they get first dibs for open spots before someone who wasn’t accepted. That’s my educated guess.
