^ u just receive email? so you are international?

icolee, I’m not sure if you’re asking me and I’m not sure what you mean. I haven’t gotten my Bard decision (though my counselor got an email saying they were seriously considering admitting me) and my Wesleyan decision was online. Yes, I’m an international.

@heart
you are waiting for brown or u really set ur mind to brown?

Bard’s decisions should be sent out soon :D

Well, I also applied to Yale but basically I’m just waiting to make sure I was rejected so I can pay my Wes deposit, not really hoping for anything at all and not really in love with Brown or Yale as much as I’m in love with Wesleyan. However, if they were to accept me, I’d have a lot of thinking to do…

It would be a though choice but great nevertheless. :)

BDW I’ve just noticed my mistake, i…e did u rly set ur mind on wesleyan. lol sorry, i guess my mind was somewhere else

Lol np, I was just slightly confused.
Just gotten an email from Bates rejecting me. Pretty funny. Bates was my least favorite out of fifteen and Wesleyan was tied for first so I think I’ll survive but think it’s pretty weird that they rejected me when even Amherst had the decency to waitlist me lol. The FA thing probably played some role. But I actually liked my supplement… hmm.
How about you, luluzg? Did you get the email?

haha bates rejected me too. i thought my supplement was almost as good as the one for bowdoin. i mean i really put effort in writing it. wow few rejections i have to handle now. its okay, my very first love Connecticut college ruined me (deferred) and now if Bard (my big new love) and Bowdoin (my love) reject me im gonna be sad.

BDW Bates’ letter was one big bull’s ****

When I talk to students and families at this stage of the admission process, I often counsel them to continue to seek guidance from the people around them: from teachers, guidance professionals, family members, and other adults in their lives. All of us have experienced disappointment in our lives; with help from others, we come to see that other opportunities, rich and reachable, still exist for us.

Its Funny to see that ranking and acceptance rates doesnt mean anything for admitting/rejecting int’s.

if my loves reject me then union (which is very good since i love the school) and their honours program, just have to handle FA and wait for 3 more weeks.

geeez, socket and I are really off topic right now. i think bard should start sending those letters asap so we can talk about sth related to bards.

Haha I know, this forum has turned into our wall-to-wall but oh well.
My favorite part was the “I’m sure you’re very disappointed”. A bit presumptuous on their part.
If CT College accepts you (and you get enough FA), will you attend?
To get back on topic, I love Bard and had such a great interview but I killed myself over the supplement. I couldn’t think of what to write for so long. Finally chose the arts one and wrote really honestly but ugh it was like more effort than I put into Brown’s supplement. Plus I’m such an idiot and didn’t research FA properly and had no clueee (until luluzg told me) that their grant limit was $25,500. Considering the fact that my Wes grant was $45K, $25.5K is obviously not enough to meet my family’s need.

^^
Yes, it wouldn’t be such an issue if it wasn’t both decision time and in a thread called “Does anyone know when decisions are sent,” but the lengthy OT exchange is a bit unnerving for those of us looking for Bard info.

That said, best of luck to both of you, I’m sure you will both have bright futures wherever you end up, and you clearly have great options - congrats.

I e-mailed admissions today asking when decisions were/will be sent, so if they don’t come by tomorrow (which I think it’s possible that for many of the NY people they will), I will report back to all of you, when they were/will be sent and you can figure out how long it will take to get to you from there.

i heard a rumor they will be sent out tuesday. i will still notify you all tomorrow.

@WMassMom

Sorry, it wasn’t our attention.

Oh please do, I can’t sleep normally anymore, I need the exact dates.

I am confirming that they will be sent out tomorrow (march 30th 2010).

Tnx mate. Will they sent out fin aids along with decisions?

I have no clue, but I would assume so.

YEES! I got the ecnon scholarship!

Bravo Luluzg!

Thank you!

I’m international and received an e-mail with acceptance :)

Unfortunately no mention of the scholarship exactly only an information:

“N.B. Candidates are automatically considered for all college grants and scholarships. If you are awarded a special scholarship or financial assistance, the financial aid office will notify you under separate cover in late March or early April”

Hope I will be able to afford Bard…
It might be a silly question, but - Does anyone know what N.B. stands for ?
