Does anyone know...

<p>I agree with mojojo69 & sv3a. The schools don't have a requirement to try and match state (or national) population demographics. If we only consider public schools; the same aplies for U of Vermont (rather than Middlebury), or any public school in a mostly white state. The schools try to meet their own desires for a diverse population as they have the right to do so. Not just race either. However, it is very unclear to me why standards may be loosened more for some URM's more than others without understanding what their goals are. If UVA wants 10 Tasmanian stamp collectors and only 9 apply, do they all get accepted regardless of their academics?</p>
