<p>absolutely not! Scholarship money is there for a reason, to give out! Even the notoriously stingy schools have $$ for the right student in the right circumstance.</p>

<p>Actually, it is possible to hurt, IF it's a finaid scholarship (rather than merit).</p>

<p>But this only applies to schools that are not need-blind.</p>
