Does applying ahead of deadlines improve your admission chance?

My parents and I were having a discussion about whether or not it’d be beneficial for me to send my college apps in a few weeks early. They have the idea that if I apply earlier, then the college will be more likely to accept me as it shows greater interest. Does anyone know if this is true?

This has been asked numerous times. If the college is not one with rolling admissions, there is no advantage to sending it before the deadline. None. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

The only advantage is your peace of mind for getting it off your plate.
