Does applying early to Umich-ann arbor help?

you CAN apply binding ED to another school even if you apply ER to UMich

and apply literally as soon as you can- if you can send in your application in august/September, do it

considering how much admissions at UMich is a crapshoot (a ridiculous amount of people, including myself, were deferred and then waitlisted this year), getting your application in as soon as possible is a big boost. i wish i submitted mine much earlier

YES * 10000

See this waitlist thread for Umich...people with 4.0s and above 31 ACTs got waitlisted simply because they applied too late(meaning late december onward)

i would go as far as to say that it is a disadvantage not to apply early..

thanks for this everyone.

Narcissa, why not? I though ED schools ask you to withdraw other apps after an acceptance is offered. or do ED schools ask that their app be your one and only?

*** oops, disregard... I didn't realize there was a page 2 where the ED, ER was discussed ***

lol...i might be wrong...but i do know that you can't apply to one school ED and another EA...like you can't do Penn ED and also MIT EA...

or can you? 0.o
