Does attendance matter?

negru...i am amazed! you are my hero

how did you pull that off? please share your wisdom

My high-school didn't really care about it. Actually, it is quite normal for my country, especially in senior year (note - i was only 5th in my class regarding absences). On a typical day, a teacher wouldn't have more than 8-10 students out of 30 in his class.

My parents know when I skip (at least one of them). when I'm not feeling like going to school they're like "are you sure? yes? then sleep." they don't really bother me much with school (they can't, one doesn't speak that much English, one's all the way across the Pacific ) but then again like I said I don't let that happen a lot. I make right choices. lol.

lucky. My parents get ****ed when I don't go to school and won't excuse me unless I'm "sick"

I don't think attendance matters that much, as long as your grades are good.

I've been absent 13 days this year so far, although that number looks a bit low on my report card.

Junior year I had about 25.
Sophmore around 20, same for Freshman.

In 7th grade I was absent 55 times..got kicked out of the top class becuase of it :(

Dear, you've gotta be kidding me. You have only 3 abscences over the whole year? Stop sweating it, and stop believing your parents when they tell you nonsense like "missing a day of school will give you AIDS and you'll explode by spontaneous combustion."

Oh, and that's because it really won't. ^^;;
