Does BC consider religious affiliation?

I read somewhere that BC does, and I’m curious is this true. I was raised Catholic but chose to put Unitarian Universalist on the Common App. I know if they do consider it would only be a minor impact to applications, but I’m just too curious.

Thanks in advance.

That information is always on a school’s “common data set.”

For BC, religious affiliation/commitment is “not considered” for admissions.

Would you mind linking it if you have the chance? I searched for the common data set but only found a fact book.

BC does not post its common data set.

@bluebayou So then they might consider affiliation?

in the case of Jesuit’s it matters not whether you mark Catholic or Atheist, as long as you distinguish yourself in scholarship, service and loyalty.

Not being Catholic won’t hurt you. But there are Catholic and Jesuit high schools that BC knows very well and the acceptance rates from those schools will be higher than avg

@wisteria100 Yes I go to one of them

I don’t know if this is still relevant, but I put that I am agnostic on the common app and my common app essay mentioned that I was agnostic and I still got into BC
