Does becoming a scholarship finalist automatically grant you admission?

I got a call for the Rodriguez Scholarship yesterday, and in the daze I was in, I don’t actually remember if I was told that I would be given admission regardless of the results of the scholarship after Finalist Weekend. Does becoming a finalist mean I was admitted? I’m gonna call admissions tomorrow but I wanted to ask first to see if anyone knew. I’ll try to remember to post their response. Thanks!

Congratulations! I’m a finalist for the Rodriguez scholarship as well. I specifically asked the person who called me and she said yes, we’re admitted.

Hey, congrats as well! That’s great news! Will you be going by yourself or with a parent? And do you happen to know if all finalists get some sort of scholarship, or if there’s a specific number?

Thanks! I’m going with a parent because I live pretty far so that weekend will be the only time I’m visiting before I make a decision. I’m really not that sure about the number of scholarships awarded- the woman I spoke to said there were about 20 freshman Rodriguez scholars on campus and around 50 finalists are invited to interview, if that helps. @wumumb‌

Alright, yeah, the lady I talked to said something similar. I’ll be going alone since only my plane ticket is being paid for. You’ll love WashU, trust me. I fell in love when I visited over the summer. Can’t wait to go again!

How about the Compton scholarship? Does anyone know the number of finalists?
