Does being a French citizen improve chance of admission?

My son is a French/US citizen with good grades and (probably) OK SATs. Does his French citizenship give him any advantage at all in the admissions process at McGill?

his tuition will be quebec tuition... i'm not sure if that means he fits into the quebec quorum (the school must accept a certain amount of quebecois), but if he does fall into the quebec quorum his chances of acceptance are higher than if he falls into the US citizen category.

Thanks for your response. I was aware of the Quebec tuition, but unaware of the quorum issue. I hope that someone else will follow up on your response with some further insight on the quorum in which my son would fall.

generally speaking, quebecois students have more lenient admissions qualifications. i am by no means qualified to answer this question, but i imagine that if your son will be paying Quebecois tuition, then he is indeed considered to be a Quebecois applicant throughout the application process.
