I’m a South Korean citizen (no US citizenship or PR of any kind), and I’m wondering whether there are any scholarships for international students at Berkeley. Their website said there might be some depending on the academic department, but I can’t seem to find any, can someone please confirm whether it’s because there is none or I just can’t find it? I’m applying to the College of Engineering (thinking of applying to EECS, engineering science or undeclared), do these programs have any scholarships?
Thank you

Generally, it will be difficult to get any type of aid as an international undergrad at UC Berkeley.
@BKSquared Should I just give up on Berkeley then? or is it still worth to apply and see if I qualify for any?
If you want to study in the states and money is an overriding issue, I would be looking at a broader range of schools that do provide aid of some type to international students. I wouldn’t necessarily give up on Berkeley, but approach your search realistically. Also, are there local sources of money available. For Berkeley, you might want to see if there is any help through the Berkeley alumni association(s) in Korea. Sometimes local associations have their own scholarship funds set up, or an alum(s) can give you a lead to other sources.
