I am starting to look at/choose schools to apply to, and I am really interested in Boulder. I’m not clear on how willing they are to work with students in regards to financing and merit scholarships, though. Has anyone received scholarships or know of potential opportunities? Thanks!
Have you looked at the website yet? That’s the best place to start. If you simply google Boulder scholarship, you find the page that will get you started: https://www.colorado.edu/scholarships/cu-boulder-scholarships
In state and out of state students can win merit awards. In state, thats typically about half the tuition,
if you meet the highest GPA, and SAT/ACT score criteria and also
win some extra money in your major. . Note that Engineering, business and other majors offer about $5000 over four
years, in addition to these amounts listed here, to top candidates–

Here is the out of state award program, also competitive.

The CU Norlin Scholarship is in addition to the programs above, but very very competitive :

If you need more merit money, U of Oklahoma, Arizona State, U of Arizona, U of Texas Dallas, U of Utah, and U of Kansas, are more generous for OOS merit than U of Colorado Boulder. UC Boulder has a higher rank in most majors than these other strong universities, and will cost more on average than other public programs the midwest/rocky mountain west.
