Merit Scholarships? UC/Boulder

DD is interested in CO schools... do any offer great merit scholarships for a 4.0 student
with 33 ACT? lots of ECs. Would love Boulder but not sure if they have Merit Money?? We are OOS.

Check out the Chancellor’s and Presidential Scholarships. These are merit scholarships for OOS students only. Presidential Scholarships is given to top 1-3 percent of OOS admitted students, Chancellor’s Scholarship is given to top 25 percent of the OOS admitted students. My son four years ago had 4.0 UW, 4.22 GPA, ACT of 31 and he only got the Chancellor’s. Currently the Chancellors scholarship is around $20,000 over four years and the Presidential Scholarship is $55,000 over four years. Unfortunately these are not that high but CU does not have to give out a lot of money to attract students.

Thanks, that’s very helpful  I will encourage her to apply for outside scholarships as well.

Your daughter might also apply for other scholarships at CU. She could apply for Norlin Scholars which is an additional amount of money per year, honors in her major, etc. She can find all these scholarships online at the CU Boulder website. She could possibly get scholarships to all of them and they would all be additive. The Presidential and Chancellors scholarship do not require an additional application but the Norlin Scholars does.
