Hey, Guys, I took the SAT four times before getting a school I was content with; and I was wondering if Bright Futures cares about that. Does anyone care except maybe for Ivy League schools? Also, I am in a situation where the SAT score that I’ll be using in my college application will be different than the one for Bright Futures because the college only accepts SATs up to a certain date for this year. Would that matter?
Anyone?
As long as your score qualifies, you will receive BF. You can’t use BF at an Ivy league school so that doesn’t matter.
@twoinanddone They don’t care that I took multiple SATs to make that happen? Also, the SAT score that qualifies for Bright Futures is not the one I will use for my college application because it is past the last SAT date that the college would accept.
BF even superscores SAT, so they don’t care.
BF is separate from colleges. BF has its own rules and in fact changed the rule to allow the tests to be taken more times. SAT/ACT used to not be offered in the summer, so the last test date for BF was the first of June. Now the qualifying score can be in the summer after you graduate. BF certainly knows that college admission was based on a score received before acceptance, usually in fall of senior year or at least by Feb.
Don’t worry. Make sure the highest score is sent to BF.
