Does Caltech want me that bad?

It would seem like it. I've gotten at least five of those "Who do you want to know?" packets in the past two months.

Before anyone says anything, yes, the thread title was a joke. But it seems to me like there are some issues going on Caltech's mailroom. :P.

Haha, I'd have to agree with you, Timur. I wonder if what sort of system runs the mailroom.

Could it be related to Google's pigeon-rank system? :D

Hahaha, it sure seems like it. Granted, I currently believe I have no chance whatsoever at Caltech, I'm applying anyway. I wish there was a way to request that they stop mailing though. Every two weeks I get another one of these, and currently they're in a stack by my desk (to their credit, though, the different colorizations make for a pretty stack).

:D.

I recieve two sets of mail from Caltech, addressed to two different spellings of my name. One letter offered free subscription to CURJ (Caltech Undergraduate Research Journal). I replied by mail: requesting the subscription to CURJ, and asking for them to remove one spelling of my name from their mailing list, but neither request was fulfilled.

I also requested the free subscription to CURJ (via the Internet), Caltech offering me CURJ first, and it wasn't fulfilled.

I've joined the mailing list for a while now, hoping that I will receive some information. But I have not find any related mails in the mail box :(

CURJ is published infrequently. Maybe you haven't received it yet?

Right, I think it's a quarterly journal... so hopefully you will receive one soon.
