Does Colgate send hand written best wishes to applicants

Hello,

I applied to Colgate University and today I got a handwritten note from the Dean of admissions wishing me the best.

Does Colgate wish everyone the best, or should I be a bit happy!

Gary Ross, the dean, is one of the most prolific (& sincere) guys in this business. He is known for his personal touches and hand written notes on acceptance letters (and to students who have visited), but I have not heard of him writing notes to applicants pre-acceptance. I’d take yours as a good sign, but I wouldn’t count my chickens until the acceptance arrived, as he is a very prolific writer.

You applied today, and you got a hand-written note from the Dean?

You should write back and congratulate him on his clairvoyance! No, wait, never mind. He knew you were going to do that.

^^^^

I think maybe you read the O/P a little too quickly.

It says: “I applied to Colgate University … pauseand today I got a handwritten note.”

I applied to Colgate more than a month back, not today.

Can someone chance me for Colgate University, after today’s letter and view book, I am really impressed with the college.

Poor reading comprehension. I apologize–sheepishly.
