Does Columbia Require 1st Quarter Grades?

Also, will a B+ in AP Spanish and a B+ in AP Biology hurt my chances if I send my 1st quarter grades. I'm still torn on sending them because I did get two A's in AP Macro and AP English Lit.

i've applied ED obviously

anyone????

No, it won't matter. You send first semester scores, if I recall correctly.

Define quarter grades. Are these official grades that will be on your transcript and calculated into your GPA, or is it just a temporary progress report of where you stand now? If the latter, Columbia doesn't care.

Basically my school has 4 quarters, 2 quarters make up a semester, and at the end of the year the average of the 4 quarter grades go on your transcript and are calculated into your GPA, but the individual quarter grades are not.

This has to be submitted. It's counted as your Midyear report. Although my HS ran on trimesters, so for some ED students, midyear reports aren't even a factor (assuming you get accepted).

Mid year reports might be a factor for class rankings if you are in a competitive class where two quarters can affect your class ranking (like in my school.) My school freezes the grades AFTER the first two quarters, so they are crucial sometimes.
