Senior Grades

If you applied early decision Columbia wont see your senior grades, only your senior classes, right? So does Columbia want us to send in our 1st quarter grades or is it just not necessary? Any input is appreciated.

yes, they want u to send those.

Columbia WILL see you senior grades. You have to send in a Midyear report and an end of year report. Colleges can rescind their offer of admission, but that only happens when a kid decides to just fail...

I understand that Columbia will eventually see our senior grades. Im just wondering whether its important to show them our grades for the quarter, because otherwise they wont see our senior grades until after they made the admissions decision. Im asking because my GCs told me not to send my quarter grades in becasue they are unnecessary, but ive been getting different opinions.

the columbia app doesnt say ED applicants have to send quarter grades, so you dont

I'm a little confused on this as well. Nowhere does it say to send first quarter senior year grades, but are we expected to anyway?

Nobody wants your first quarter grades. Heck, at many schools quarter grades don't even count for anything because they aren't even final and part of your permanent record/GPA.

Thanks for clearing up that confusion.

but waaaaait. look:
