I might be totally misinformed but I believe that some if not most colleges round GPA's?
I have a 3.68 (i know so low.) and I was wondering if they would look at that as a 3.7?
Thank you!

Oh quick followup question: My weighted GPA is a 4.6 something. I think 4.62. Does Cornell look at weighted as well? Someone told me that colleges don’t look at weighted gpas anymore…

I can’t specifically answer your question unfortunately, but I am aware that many colleges will take your UW and W GPAs and create a GPA for you based on whatever their system is. My guess is that it’s probably somewhere in between the two, sort of an average. I was informed of this by my guidance counselor. They most likely would not totally discount weighted GPAs, in nearly any college that is; you took the advanced classes and earned those extra points! If they didn’t mean something then weighted GPAs probably would have ceased to exist quite a while ago. Hope this may have helped in the slightest to ease worries!

Thank you that helped a lot! I guess i’ll talk to my counselor and see if she knows

What they are most interested in (as far as your grades go) is if you took the most rigorous courses your school offered, how you did compared to the other students at your school, & how your school is ranked in comparison to others. The difference between a 3.68 & a 3.7 is going to make no difference in your being accepted.

Ok tgats great to know :)
