So this is probably a bit petty, as my waiting-for-decisions stress is causing me to overthink things. But I’ve already kind of posted this in another thread, so I figured I’d throw it up as a proper question.
Looking at my post history will tell you how I got here, but I’ve already switched majors twice - from Comp. Eng. to Software Eng., and then SE to Graphic Communications. Originally I was trying to look for an easy major to get into (after thinking that I wouldn’t get into CE) BUT I realized how incredibly stupid it would be to get in for something I don’t care about, so I abandoned that idea completely.
Instead, I re-evaluated what I truly wanted to do, and GrC fit the bill. However, I’m now somewhat afraid that admissions could see the two switches as what I was going to do - switching to an easier admit major in order to get in.
As 1 out of 50,000, am I really just over-reacting? Or should I send an email to admissions/the GrC department showing interest? I mean, I realize they don’t formally track demonstarted interest, but…well, I don’t know. Can anyone ease my worries?
