UCs aren’t rolling right? One of my classmates told me that her brother was accepted to UCI last year in the first week of March. I don’t believe he had a scholarship offer or anything.
I found a few posts asking other users when they sent their TAU and I was wondering whether this was related to having an earlier result.
I tried looking it up but I don’t think I found info? Although it may be possible that I wasn’t thinking straight since I’m already jittery from the nervousness
No, there is no correlation to TAU date and decision date.
Some UCs will release decisons in batches starting in March, others (like UCB) release them all at one time in April.
Based on what I saw last year, UCI released Regent Scholars and other highly coveted student decisions 2-4 weeks before the bulk decisions. Bulk decisions came out mid April.
People have long looked for a correlation, but there isn’t one. 2016Candles is correct. They release early decisions for prized students, the rest usually a few weeks later. Is it possible her brother was a freshman applicant not a transfer?
