Hey there! So when I turned in my UC application, I got a banner that told me that I was in the top 9%. Looking for discussions and advice on college confidential, Ive found that UCI and UCSB admit lots of ELC applicants(upwards of 80%-90% of all the applicants). Those discussions are kind of outdated, and I wanted to know if ELC gives you a better chance on getting into the schools.
P.s: If you know where to find the statistics on the UC website for ELC applicants admissions it would be greatly appreciated!
ELC is considered during your application review but there are many applicants that are not ELC eligible that also get acceptances. ELC really only guarantees you a spot at UC Merced, if you do not get an acceptance at your choice UC.

I understand that ELC isn’t that big of a factor when it comes to college applications, but what are the % of ELC admits that these colleges accept?
I have not found any ELC stats (% ELC’s admitted) except for UC Merced. Even UCM does not accept all ELC eligible applicants.
