I took the sat three times: The first time my scores were really really low.
The second time I got 650 v, 640 m, 710 w=1290/2000
The third third time i got 640 v, 670 m, 660 w=1310/1970

Should I submit my third score (even though i did worse) because the 670 in math would put me at emorys 25% whereas it was 30 points below before

Thanks for the help

You know, I've talked to admissions officers before I applied who said they do and some that say they don't, so I think it depends and is right now unofficial. However,Emory did add this to their admissions website recently:
**
"For Fall 2010 applicants, Emory will take the Highest Section Scores Across Test Dates (version 2): Emory considers students’ highest section scores across all SAT dates submitted. Students will be instructed to send scores from every SAT test date in which they received a top score in each section: mathematics, critical reading and writing. Final admissions decisions are based only on students’ highest section scores, and Emory updates students’ records each time you receive new scores. Students will be encouraged to submit scores each time they take the SAT because it will always benefit them to do so. "**

Personally, I would submit it, I don't think 30 points will be the deciding factor for you, if your recommendations, grades/GPA & essays are in order.

wait you would submit them or wouldnt because you said you would but your reply made it seem like you wouldnt
and thanks for that info where on the website did u find it?

"I don't think 30 point will be the deciding factor"
--forgot to add negatively. . .I mean that it won't hurt you.

Sorry about that, yes, I would submit them.

Here's the direct site: First-Year Application Requirements

thanks again and yeah i know it wont hurt im just worried cuz i know some ppl look down on taking it three times and since its not like i relle improved i was worried that im taking a risk for no reason.

I took it three times as well and my scores were around your range, but they improved each time...I talked to one admissions lady and she said that high academic scores in advanced math/language arts classes can outweigh low sat scores anyday. so as as long as you have good ap/honors classes then you should be fine : )

oh thats annoying my school doesnt offer ap classes or anything like that but its known to be a hard school that sends most of its kids to good colleges.
