Does every Indian student...

...only apply to Purdue, GeorgiaTech, UIUC and UT? Why not any others? Unless they did apply and got rejected from all the 'elite' universities - that's disheartening.

Well I applied to none of those schools. I applied to lots of LACs.

Ascaris, if you’d so much as take a minute to look at some of the results thread… you won’t be disheartened :)

UChicago '15.

Well the results thread is filled with a lot of unnecessary blabber so it’s hard to view the actual RESULTS. Congratulations on the Chicago acceptance though!

Thanks :). Are you a HS junior planning to apply? PM me if you need any help.

Hey Buddy I have been accepted to Florida tech , UConn, CoI and SUNY.I applied to UMich and Purdue too.But waitlisted there.!!

@Vibhsvv Could u please post your stats …Even im pressing my luck for purdue

Are you kidding me? -_-

I applied to 11 schools, got accepted to 9 including Berkeley, Cornell, Penn, CMU, UIUC and UMich.

Also, I wonder how you define ‘elite’. The schools that you mention are top notch for their engineering programs. Only because their acceptance rates tend to be slightly on the higher side does not affect the quality of these institutions. That stuck up stereotype of linking admission rates with academic mettle isn’t going to get you anywhere.
