Does everyone have their popcorn ready for Harry & Meghan?

Meghan is not naive, she’s narcissist. I believe she thought the Vanity Fair issue was all about her, she didn’t like it when it’s about her relationship with Harry.

It is really hard to imagine a 37 year old divorced Hollywood actress ( as at the marriage) being described as “naive” by anyone. Candidly, I do not think that is even possible.

The family could have compromised and let Harry serve in the commonwealth outside the UK. They just needed to get out of the media spotlight - that was clear - but there was no viable options given to them. Getting out completely required them to be financially self sufficient - and while the tax payer should not fund it - there were death threats so private security funded personally or by his father personally was in fact required.

And that security they can well-afford to hire. I am still unclear as to why British taxpayers would subsidize someone living outside the country, or did you expect Charles to do so? Charles was aware his son was in his late 30s and independently wealthy; not sure why parental support would be expected. The last thing the Commonwealth countries want is a reminder of royalty.

So much vitriol towards a woman you never met that was clearly vilified by the media. She is not self aware and I don’t really like her either - but i feel bad what the media put her through. Narcissistic is a strong word and I don’t think it applies here. We can agree to disagree

Vilified by the media, whose to blame? Narcissistic sociopath are terms out there for this person. I don’t dislike nor like either one of them.

And there’s Sussex Survivor’s group.

So why are you quoting questionable sources? It’s baffling.

This is a bit amusing. We are talking in this thread about how the British tabloid media has unfairly treated Meghan Markle. You claim that isn’t so (we can agree to disagree), yet you keep posting articles from those same British tabloid media that kind of proves our point, not yours.

Someone said she’s not narcissist and I said she is. And it’s not my lone assessment, it comes from her staff who worked for her. So why is Netflix not considered tabloids.

One of my best friend’s DC was on a cooking show - Chopped Jr. The child (middle-school age) was so excited to be on the show and meet a celebrity. The celebrity for this episode was Meghan Markle. The family flew to California, arrived for the taping, and were told that they were not allowed to talk to Ms. Markle. She never said a word to any of the children on the show or their family members. No “Hello, welcome, so nice to meet you”, no smile, no handshake, no picture, nothing, other than what was taped for the episode.

Definitely not a people’s princess.

How very sad for the children. Rather the opposite of what Diana would have done, I think.

I googled this :joy: and it was 2016, before she was a princess. Cable tv actress

I am definitely not a fan of Meghan. Much too much drama. However, I am loving all of the non-verbal communication that is going on on the royal’s side. The Queen’s mantra was “never complain, never explain”. I am sure that is the reason why the palace has no response to all of their charges.

However, I found this on the Daily Mail. I read several of the London papers every day as we lived there for 3 years in the late 1990’s.

Beyonce’s reps are saying she has no memory of sending that text to Meghan. Lol. Recollections may vary.

My interest in the royal family is significant, but I have refrained from participating in this thread (except for reactions) because all I really want is for William and Harry to mend their relationship and nothing I say here will result in that outcome. Since this thread has long ago ceased to be constructive ( and has been filled with misinformation, some of which has fortunately been deleted), I need to test my resolve and quit looking.

Constructive in a popcorn thread?
