I totally agree with your comment. I am puzzled by all the hatred, I think their fatal flaw is wanting people to understand it from their perspective when they should just walk away, But my heart also goes out to them, especially harry
I know
I am sitting and waiting on college news that aren’t coming, so in the meantime, this is a coffee conversation, light, harmless, and totally devoid of emotions, unlike admissions threads on the other side.
Probably in between making and baking 3 batches of cookies on a rainy day. We have nothing better to do.
It is called clickbait.
By the time you’re 74, you need to sit by one of the ends so that you can push yourself up off the sofa.
I think your use of the word “hate” is being a bit dramatic . No one hates them. “Disapprove”would be a better word to describe what you are reading here.
It’s TV popcorn worthy entertainment.
So I am guessing Meghan and Harry’s kids will not get the new “prince and princess” titles?
Things that will happen before Archie and Lilibet get the Prince / Princess titles:
King Ralph becomes the next British monarch.
Hell freezes over.
Harry and Meghan claim that they never demanded full privacy. Now I understand. They want privacy except when they go public to make millions.
Shouldn’t all discussions of climate change be in the political forum?
The whole anti-Meghan industry relies not on pure “hatred” but “hate following” where someone becomes irresistably drawn to following and sharing multiple stories about someone that they “disapprove” of. Like the numerous dedicated anti-Meghan youtube, twitter and subreddit accounts. People are free to write, read and share what they want. I’m just saying that the PR efforts of MM and H should be viewed against that backdrop.
I admit to hate following stories about certain people. Usually politicians I don’t like but currently the new owner of a certain social media site. Just texted my friend about the latest outrage.
But I believe the poster had referred to ‘this forum’ in particular. I don’t read hate.
Yes, I understood it as a reference to this forum. Which is why I’m drawing a distinction between “hate” and the phenomenon known as “hate following.” Hate following is being irresistably drawn to reading and sharing negative stories about someone you disapprove of. And I’m not even saying the negative stories are false! Just making an observation about what’s happening when so many people keep talking about people they purport not to care about.
Gotcha. Never really heard of that term before, but guess I do Hate Follow a few well-known people. I don’t feel that way about the HM though.
I don’t consider myself in the “hate them” category but I am most definitely in the “dislike” category.
They both should watch the new Netflix documentary from Jonah Hill called “Stutz.” It could give them some real tools for getting their heads out of their butts and turn the negative stuff in their lives into good.
The bottom line for me is this: people who love their families don’t embarrass them by going public with private information about them. If you love someone you don’t tell the world your grievances against them, or how wronged you feel about them. You handle your personal relations with your family privately in hopes that any differences can be reconciled.
H and M are toxic people.
What sort of family watches lies and abuse directed at you by press and doesn’t bother to defend you and set the record straight? Especially when they easily can? What sort of family protects one daughter in law and throws another one to the sharks otherwise known as tabloid press? I remember at the time when they called her selfish for touching her baby bump thinking there was nothing she could do that would ever be covered in a positive light. I can’t open yahoo without seeing stories how every little thing Kate does is so lovely and thoughtful. It’s hilarious really.
I think the family treated her well. She went to Sandringham at Christmas before she was married, something they don’t usually do. Charles walked her down the aisle. The Queen and Prince Philip looked delighted seeing Archie. I think those actions were the best response to whatever the tabloids were saying.
It’s interesting that they appear to despise the Royal family, yet cling to and monetize their titles. I want someone to ask them why. They also want titles for their children. Seems like you’d want nothing of the kind for your children, if the family is so awful. Cut all ties with them and live your American life. Give up all titles associated with the evil RF and evil Britain. If they need to make more money, surely there are more suitable, productive and positive ways of doing it rather than bashing your family over and over and over again. The constant complaining and victimhood really says something about them. They themselves said the Oprah interview would be the last time they spoke of leaving the RF and everything associated with that, but it hasn’t been has it?
