does exeter want a graded essay?

I thought they did, but it looks like they don't.... do they? thanks!

i don’t think so. They would say on their website.

they dont 10char

They don’t need one.
They want:
English and math recs
EC recs
School report
Transcript (last year)
Transcript (first marking period)
Candidate Profile and Application Fee
Essays…and I think that is it.

question: do they want updated transcripts - like first semester (when they are available)

No, you send them in if/after you get accepted. They just want the first marking period (ie. first quarter, first trimester…)

My question is, why don’t they need a graded paper? Is Exeter the ONLY top school that doesn’t require a graded paper?

I thought they wanted your grades from the last 2 years plus ur 1st marking period…

“My question is, why don’t they need a graded paper? Is Exeter the ONLY top school that doesn’t require a graded paper?”

I think SPS doesn’t require one, too.

2010, I count SPS 4 essays as the make-up.

I like middlesex the best, I mean writing an essay on-spot; graded paper the second, still more chance of being original. Application essays, you don’t really know where they are coming from, I certainly have looked at my son’s and given my opinions.

So middlesex is more writing intensive then anything else?
I liked their application, not too many long essays. There were basically like 10 short ones.
