Everything is stated above.
Although I'm overwhelmed with the SAT and my ECs, my grades have been actually excellent (about 15/20) since I passed in high school (9th grade is not in considered high school in my country) but during my so-called freshman year in the US, my grades were quite execrable. I do have some issues which could explain that decrease of grade but I don't want to use them as pretexts. Moreover I'm sure they won't be acceptable in comparison with the others's exceptional grades.
It would be terrible if I got rejected because of one of the worst year of my life. I hope I will get an answer as soon as possible.

PS:In the common application, there aren't enough space to write down all the courses attended (around ten each year). I just noticed a gap for the GPA and the duration in which it applies and some other gap which will be, hopefully, filled with nice informations. So do they request an official transcript translated? (I heard that addition supplements have been restricted in the common app though)

What grade are you in now?
If you were starting 9th grade in a foreign country and in a foreign language, I’m sure colleges would cut you some slack as long as you’ve shown improvement.

Why was the year in the US the worst year of your life? And why do you want to return if you had such a terrible time?

The Common App has 8 lines for each term, so that should be plenty. If one class is only 2 hours a week count it as a one-term class that everything should fit.

Some colleges don’t take freshman year into account (for example, Yale and Princeton, I think)

I may have not been clear enough but I have thus far studied in my native country. My disatrous grades were not due to a lack of fluency or something like that. If it can help, I took the SAT1 and at worst I’ll get a 2000 (I’m definitely going to retake it because I was too anxious the first time :))
Is it formally stated that some colleges don’t take freshman year into account?

Yes it is formally stated that some specific colleges do not take freshman year into account. You should create a thread about that and/or look it up here on CC.
