Does Georgia Tech really do this?

We've obviously all heard of super-scoring, but I heard someone say that Georgia Tech "super-duper-scores" across the SAT and ACT.

For instance, if a student made a 650 on SAT Reading but a 34 Reading on the ACT, Tech would convert the 34 to its SAT equivalent (around 770), and count that as the student's SAT Reading score instead of the 650.

Is this true?

Yes. That’s easier for the database. Convert all scores to SAT. Then, show the highest on each component for use in selection. Anything else would be more complicated, really.

Hope this helps you.

Thank you for answering.
