Coming into Senior year, I’ve only had 2 B’s.
I’m ranked 3/540, with WGPA of 4.875 and UWGPA of 3.89.
My school’s on semester block, and I have two B’s this semester (in AP Calc. and Hon. SPanish 3). I have A’s in AP English 4, and AP Physics.

I’ve been stressing over this for a while, since it looks like I probably wont be able to bring them up to A’s.
Will colleges see this as a sign of inconsistency or that I’m slacking off?
Will it hurt my chances a lot?
thanks.

I can't answer for the colleges, but I will say to you this: one of your Bs is in AP Calculus. Colleges know this is a challenging course and the fact that you are taking it in your senior year when you could have been taking an easier class shows that you are not slacking off. People struggle in Calculus, even really smart people and you only have a B. If you had a D or something, then that may look bad, but a B is a decent grade and calc is HARD. SO I can't say if it will hurt you, but don't be to hard on yourself. It looks like you've been working pretty hard throughout hs. Its disappointing getting a B in a class you've worked hard at, but just remember to keep things in perspective.

im in the same boat - im probably getting a B in ap physics this semester and itll probably bring my gpa down but i guess its not horrible because its ap physics. and im trying, rly. i just cant seem to get an A.

Struggling w/same issue!! 84 in AP gov, hardest class I've eveeeer taken. Don't worry about it, as long as your rank, gpa, extracurricular sblah blah are i line, you'll be fine. A B isn't the "b" all end all (no pun intended). Just do all that you need to do, and the admissions officers will take care of the rest :D

from what i could tell in my senior year of high school, senior grades didnt seem to matter much. i know people who got straight Bs all of senior year and still got into top schools (granted they had pretty much all As in the other years and just slacked off senior year) and i know people who got straight As senior year and didnt get into their top schools (ie, ivies)...

its all about what you bring to the college. do your best with your grades but when it comes down to it, a few Bs here and there are not going to kill you.

Yeeeaahh I had all A's before senior year and this year AP Calc and AP Physics are killing me slowly. Very sucky and dissapointing, but I wouldn't worry.
