Do grades usually transfer, or just credits to the school you transfer to? I've been reading that most places they don't.. Does this apply to people who are pre-med? Don't medical schools need to see your grades in your science and math prereqs?

Your GPA generally doesn’t transfer from school to school. Med schools will calculate your GPA using all college courses you have taken though. So, for example, if you took some classes at a Community College and then transferred to a four year school, your GPA would reset at that school but Med school would use both your CC and four year GPA when evaluating you.

thanks jdom that was very helpful…
