Does GPA transfer?

<p>Hi,
I'm a CCC student considering a transfer to UCD for premed/psych. Will my GPA transfer to UCD, or does it start over? Will med schools see both GPA's?</p>

<p>yes it starts over, and yes any grad school you eventually attend will see both your CC gpa and UC gpa.</p>

<p>For premeds, it doesn't matter. AMCAS calculates your total GPA.</p>

<p>if you're not transferring from a UC, then GPA doesnt transfer over.. well that was the case for UCLA.</p>

<p>What if I take UCLA summer session while attending a community college? Will GPA from summer session carry over after I get in? It's an upper-division course if that makes any difference.</p>

<p>For students transferring to UC from a non-UC schools, your GPA do not transfer, it starts at 0.00.</p>
