My son has decided to attend Harvard College this fall. Needless to say, he is very excited about his college years. He said he didnt need to put a deposit for attending Harvard. I thought usually a college asks for a deposit once a student decides to attend the college. So does Harvard require a deposit for enrollment?

No, not Harvard. Deposit not required. You word that you will be attending is good enough for them.

That is how real boss colleges do it! LOL.

Welcome! I was surprised at this too, but no deposit. My S is a current freshman. All he had to do was to accept on-line. BTW, my two older kids went to small LAC’s and in comparison H is a breeze with all the paperwork because it is all on-line.

@revbon50–Are payments made online also? That would be very convenient (still painful, but convenient).

No deposit, which definitely surprised my parents!

This is Harvard-- you don’t want to come–there is someone eager to take your place–also very little “summer melt” from Harvard as there may be with schools further down the food chain.
