<p>Does it take 2 -3 days to receive this e-mail?</p>
<p>On the common app, you should be able to see the status of your application and whether your college has downloaded it or not. I believe they do not send you an email about whether they received it or not. If you don’t seem them downloading it in the next few days, you should email the admissions office.</p>
<p>My son applied Early Decision and he did get an email that his application was complete. I don’t know if they will be doing that for the next round, but as per the website linked below they will be emailing with instructions to access the web portal and are asking people to check the portal for application status.

<p>Lots of colleges have a web portal… my D’s application has been downloaded, but she does not yet have any info to get into the portal. Hopefully it will come soon. :)</p>
<p>It took some time maybe even a week or more before he got the emails so in the meantime rest assured they are processing the data.</p>
