You get a 3.5 gpa or above your whole High School career except for 2nd semester of your freshmen year getting a 3.4 gpa.
(So 3.4 gpa for two quarters of freshmen year and a 3.5 or above gpa for the rest of highschool)

The overall GPA is what matters. If it isn’t very high, an upward trend is viewed fsvorably.

A minimal change in GPA for a semester is not an issue. Most HS transcripts only show year end grades and overall GPA.
