Does it matter which Community College I go to?

I'm going to be moving to San Fernando Valley, California and there is a Community College:Los Angeles Valley College. I read good reviews a and then terrible reviews. That college is right by me though, walking distance. Then there are two other Community Colleges which are Pierce College and Glendale Community College. Once again, I read good and bad reviews.

The college that I actually wanted to go to and have been to orientation and actually have selected my classes just haven't paid them is Pasadena City College which I know is one of the higher Quality community Colleges in California but from where I'm going to be living it's 20 miles away and I don't have a car so it'll be a 2 hour commute using public transportation according to Google maps.

Suggestions anyone? I'm just looking to go for two years and transfer, don't know my major yet.

Nope it does not.

What matters most is that you go… Unless the place is so packed you can’t get your classes, attend the one you can most easily get to and from.

It can matter if one CC has more complete course offerings with respect to your target major at your target UC/CSU. This is more likely if your major is unusual, or one where different UCs/CSUs have campus-specific versions of lower division courses (engineering and CS are common examples for courses other than common math and physics courses available almost everywhere).

In California, use [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) to check CCs’ coverage of courses for your target major at your target UC/CSU. You can take courses at more than one CC before transfer, if that is needed to get the best coverage, although sequenced courses are usually best taken at the same CC (or CCs in the same CC district that offer the same courses). If you are not sure of your major, you can check several of your possible majors.

It does matter if your CC has a TAG/TAP program. Some TAGs extend to some universities only so depending on where you want to attend, you need to check the transfer agreements and their conditions.
Overall, though, if the Community Colleges are about 20mn from one another, they’re probably all “linked” to the same 4 year schools. But better safe than sorry - check first so that if one of the 3 has an agreement that matches your goals better, you can enroll there rather than at the other ones.
