Does the community college I go to really matter ?

Hi guys I’m having a bit of a hard time deciding where I plan on going to school after i graduate high school in a few months. Due to overloading my extracurricular activitys (sports&stuff) going back and fourth between two households regularly and some other family drama I did not end up performing to the level I deem acceptable and am looking at going to a community college and spend 2 years focusing purely on academics instead of a csu( not that there’s anything wrong with a csu I just wanna go to a uc ).Living at home(San Francisco) really isn’t an option for me if I want to be successful and focus on my grades and I have been looking at a few California community colleges around the state. In 2 years I hope to be able to transfer to either ucb, ucla,or ucd for business or economics and I want to know if it matters where I go go to community college if I want to be able to transfer to uc’s .Right now I am currently looking at these schools
•feather river college(has dorms)(Quincy ca)
•Berkeley city college
•Shasta college ( has dorms)
•Santa Barbra cc
Any help/ advise I can get is much appreciated
Thanks guys

It matters for transfer credit. Make sure whichever CC you choose to have some type of transfer agreement with the university you want to attend. That way you won’t lose any credit in the transfer.

Although I have really been liking feather river college up in the mountains and really want to go there but it doesn’t seem like the hardest school and I don’t know if where I go matters however if I went there I feel k would learn a lot due to the small size of the school (700 full time students) what do you guys think ?
